2020 Model G20

Boston Summit

July 15 – July 22, 2020

Empowering Work Forces of the 21st Century

Human capital is at the heart of all development — economic, political, social, and cultural. We are the most valuable resource on the planet. Protecting and cultivating this resource requires renovation of K-12 education systems and supporting lifelong learning for professionals in a changing workplace. Ensuring sustainable growth requires us to support people’s physical and mental wellness and provide them with financial security.

Learning Objectives

  • How might investments in education and health inform solutions to global challenges such as poverty reduction and sustainable economic growth?

  • What barriers to developing human capital exist? How can countries overcome them?

  • How will your country work to decrease the gender gap in the labor force?

  • How can the global community collaborate to support a healthy, productive population?

  • How is your country responding to the changing labor market, including workforce trends such as virtual, freelance, gig, and contract employment?
